Our history
VDL MPC was founded in 1918, originally known as the Nederlandse Seintoestellen Fabriek (NSF), focused on the development and production of radio transmitters. After WWII, the company became part of Philips Telecommunication Industries (PTI), producing all mechanical parts for telecom equipment. Following a merger with AT&T (later Lucent Technologies), PTI was integrated into Philips' machine factories.
Since 1992, the company has operated under the name VDL MPC as part of VDL Groep. That same year, we opened our modern facility in Amersfoort. The VDL Groep enables its subsidiaries to share knowledge, craftsmanship, and technological innovation in metal and plastic processing, surface treatment, and assembly. It also provides strong financial backing.
VDL MPC has since evolved into a key player in the high-tech industry, focusing on the production, assembly, and prototyping of assemblies, sheet metal parts, and mechanical components. Innovation and quality are at our core, resulting in long-term partnerships with leading companies across various industries.
